Building Information Modeling (BIM)
At Hive Engineering, we are 100% committed to using building information modeling (BIM) on every project. Since the practice started in 2008, we have pushed the boundaries of what is possible in design and documentation.
We create highly detailed 3D models of our engineering designs, which helps us to identify and resolve any potential issues from the conceptual stage of the project right through to construction.
We can clearly communicate with the Architects using these 3d models; greatly improving the coordination from the outset and streamlining the entire process.
From the model, we generate our detailed 2D drawings and documentation, resulting in highly accurate documentation.
Hive Engineering has primarily utilised ArchiCAD as our BIM authoring tool, but can integrate with all major CAD platforms including Revit, Solidworks, AutoCAD and Rhino.
We have world leading experience using ArchiCAD for engineering projects.
Design & Analysis
Hive Engineering has knowledge and experience in all types of structural engineering design including reinforced and post tensioned concrete, precast, steel, composites and timber framing.
